M. Dogan Ozgundogdu

Ozgundogdu has lectured in the field of Industrial Ceramic Design for 15 years. In his works, a minimalistic approach draws attention in terms of shape, color and fabric; he prefers a humble language that emerges as a result of integration of material¡¯s natural fabric with the light in search for color. As in ¡°Bottle Series¡±, he gives a place to idols in simple geometric forms seen in Anatolian Civilizations while he gives an organic character to the structure which he generally shapes with a form with plastic interventions.

The artist has displayed at national and international combined ceramics exhibitions and attended symposiums. His various artistic panels made within the scope of the lectures he gives were mounted inside and outside on the Beytepe Campus of Hacettepe University.

Ozgundogdu, taking his bachelor, master¡¯s and doctorate degrees at Ceramics Department in Faculty of Fine Arts in Hacettepe University, has conducted master¡¯s degree theses in the field of ceramics art.

The artist is a member of Turkish Ceramics Foundation, Art Educators Association and International Art Education Association.
