Feyza Ozgundogdu, holds bachelor, master’s and doctorate degrees from the Ceramics Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts in Hacettepe University. During her doctorate studies, she became interested in bone porcelain which she has enhanced with her own artistic and technical exploration. Developing transparent expression with an attitude far from colour usage, the artist has preferred to protect and point out the solid shining introduced by a fired structure and metal solutions suggesting a different volume and texture.
The artist’s scientific and artistic studies have been introduced at national and international symposiums, her articles have been published in Ceramics Technical, Ceramics Turkey and in meeting booklets. She attended artist-in-residency programs at International Ceramics Studio at Kecskemet (Hungary). Ozgundogdu, invited to various artistic activities in various countries like Hungary, Italy, Cuba, China, etc., has attended ceramics exhibitions in her country and abroad and opened individual exhibitions.
The artist is a member of Turkish Ceramics Foundation, Art Educators Association, International Society of Education Through Art (INSEA) , National Society for Education in Art & Design .She still gives lectures in Ondokuz Mayis University in Samsun as an assistant professor.
