Vinod Daroz

Was born in Andhra Pradesh in southern India. He studied sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts, M S University, completing his post-graduation (MFA) in ceramic sculpture in 1999. He also did a summer training course in Throwing with Ray Meeker and Deborah Smith at Golden Bridge Pottery, Pondicherry (1998), and then apprenticed with British studio potters, Peter Illsley in Daventry and Sandy Brown in Bideford, UK, on a Charles Wallace India Trust Award (2004).

Vinod Daroz has also been invited to several Ceramic Camps in India and abroad. The important ones include the Ege art festival, Ege University,Izmir,Turkey, Wanju Macsabal Woodfire Symposium, South Korea, and the Zibo  Symposium, Zibo, China, Zibo International Ceramic Forum at Uttarayan Art Foundation, Baroda, India, National Ceramic Camp, Chennai & Bhopal, the Lalit Kala Akademi organized Camps at Lucknow, at Bangalore, and several International Ceramic Camps held at Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Baroda. He was invited to Workshops on Ash Glaze (2000) conducted by Mick Dodd (UK), in Porcelain (1999) conducted by Jim Danish (USA), and on Kiln Building by Ray Meeker, all organized by Golden Bridge Pottery, Pondicherry.

Vinod Darozs ceramic works are in the public collection of  Ege  University,Izmir,Turkey. Swissôtell,Izmir,Turkey. Macsabal Museum, Wanju, South Korea, Taishan Ceramic Factorys Permanent Collection & Museum, China, Oilu Ceramic and Glass Art Museum, Jinan, China, Uttarayan Art Foundation, Baroda, India. He has worked on ceramic murals in several private spaces too.
